Are you looking for an opportunity to give something back to your community? Have you ever wanted to help others in need and get paid to help?

Our New Police Community Support Officer (PCSO) Campaign is open!

As a PCSO within Lancashire Constabulary, you will play a vital part within our policing family to help serve, protect and engage with the community. You will be provided with a uniform, and full training in which you will learn new skills and see the difference you can make to the public we serve.  Our PCSOs have designated powers, you will be expected to  problem solve within the communities and target the biggest local problems. PCSOs respond to calls for service within communities. Often being the local face of policing on their patch.

We currently have vacancies for Police Community Support Officers across all areas of Lancashire, what could be better than serving the community in which you have grown up making it safer for the community.

The posts are full time permanent although part time and flexible working arrangements will be considered following completion of training.

For this new Recruitment Campaign you only need to complete a short application form with your personal information and subject to eligibility checks you will automatically progress to the interview stage. There is NO National Sift required for this new campaign.  Take up this opportunity to be part of this exciting recruitment intake.

Lancashire Constabulary is committed to local community Neighbourhood Policing and the Police Community Support Officer is at the heart of this commitment. Police Community Support Officers are part of their local Neighbourhood Policing team, working with partners and the community to reduce crime, the fear of crime and preventing vulnerability.

We believe it is really important for our police force to be part of the community and reflect the wonderfully diverse communities we have in Lancashire therefore we really welcome applications from those communities who are underrepresented within the force.

We are keen to recruit people who are able to demonstrate excellent communication skills, can adapt to changing situations, and have a positive attitude to the work that they do, in order to help us deliver this service.

If you want to make a difference and contribute to your local community as part of the policing team, then this is the PERFECT role for you. We are looking to recruit local people from, and for, their local communities - we have PCSO's working all across Lancashire, from Fleetwood on the coast to Whitworth on the GMP border, and from the Ribble Valley bordering rural North Yorkshire right over to Skelmersdale in West Lancashire.

(please go to www.lancashire.police.uk/your-area for a list of all locations Lancashire Constabulary serve). You will be asked as part of your application to confirm your preferred division/area to be posted to.
