Lancashire Constabulary would like to offer you the exciting opportunity to become a crucial part of their busy Contact Management Team, as a Police Control Room Operator.
If you are a dynamic, customer focused individual with excellent communication skills then this role will give you the opportunity to provide an essential service to the public, by taking and dealing with both emergency and non-emergency calls.
The training is planned to start week commencing 17th August 2020 for 6 weeks. PLEASE NOTE THAT ANNUAL LEAVE WILL NOT BE PERMITTED DURING THE TRAINING PERIOD.
If successful your permanent base will be Hutton, Headquarters. However, some staff will be temporarily based at either Preston or Blackburn on a temporary basis whilst the facilities at Hutton are upgraded over the next twelve months. If this means a longer home to work journey, excess travelling expenses will be paid at 45p per mile.
Police Control Room Operators are required to work on a full time basis covering a 24 hour, 7 days a week rota, including weekends, Bank Holidays including Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year’s Day (example attached).
