Lancashire Constabulary’s Human Resources Department are seeking for Recruitment Assistants to be based at Hutton Headquarters. If you are keen to develop, have an interest in recruitment and would like to work as part of a friendly team and make a difference, then this exciting role could be for you.

The purpose of this role is to be responsible for delivering a quality of service to applicants applying for roles with the Constabulary both internally and externally.

You will manage your own portfolio of work and be allocated departments to work with, such as Scientific Support, Finance, Mounted Branch, ICT departments and many more. Full on the job training will be provided.

You will build a rapport with the contacts ensuring all aspects of the Recruitment process for officers, staff, agency and volunteers; is carried out in a timely manner whilst delivering excellent customer service.

You will also be responsible for overseeing corporate processes from Recruitment of Police Officers, Police Community Support Officer, Police Control Room Operators and Promotions for Police Officers, facilitating the process from start to finish, including the interview stage which could be up to 100 candidates at any given time.

The successful candidate would need excellent customer care and communication skills, as a big part of the role is making and receiving calls and dealing with a high volume of emails. Previous Recruitment experience would be beneficial, but not essential to apply.

Please note, candidates successful at shortlisting will be required to undertake an assessment as part of the interview process. This will consist of a psychometric assessment.

The post will be 37 Hrs per week, Monday to Friday office hours excluding Bank Holidays - but the department are happy to consider part time working hours.

As a family, friendly department we will also consider applications from those who are looking to work part time hours, please note the salary will be pro-rata depending on the hours requested. Salary within the advert is based on full-time, 37 hours per week.

Starting salary is normally at the bottom of the grade, however, there may be an opportunity to commence on a higher salary for exceptional candidates with relevant knowledge or experience.
