Detective Superintendents or substantive Detective Chief Inspectors for promotion
Applications are invited from Detective Superintendents or substantive Detective Chief Inspectors for promotion to the rank of Detective Superintendent, Head of the Professional Standards Department (PSD). There is an expectation that the successful candidate will give a minimum 2 year commitment to the role.

Candidates will be assessed against the level 3 Competency Values Framework (CVF) throughout the process (application form, presentation and interview). To access the framework, please click the link attached.

It is essential that candidates are PIP2 qualified and have successfully completed the Management of Serious and Complex Investigations Development Programme (MSCIDP).

Whilst not essential there is also an expectation for successful candidates to work towards their PIP3 qualification.

The deadline for this post is 12noon on Monday 10th September.

Application forms will be paper sifted and candidates will be notified w/c 10th September as to whether they will progress to the presentation and interview stage of the recruitment process.

The presentation and interviews will be conducted on Tuesday 18th September, candidates will be emailed the presentation topic in advance of their date.

The panel will consist of the Chief Constable, Deputy Chief Constable and a HR Professional.
