Lancashire Constabulary’s Media and Engagement Department is seeking an Internal Communications Officer to be based at Hutton Headquarters. The site is accessible by public transport and there is also free unlimited car parking on site.

Are you an experienced internal communications officer looking for a new challenge? Can you equip our Police officers and staff with the information they need to do the very best job they can to help keep the public safe?

Lancashire Constabulary is looking for an internal communications officer to help us develop our internal communications channels and keep all of our 5,200 officers and staff informed and engaged.

You’ll need a recognised qualification in a communications-related discipline and demonstrable internal communications experience in a large organisation.

We’re looking for someone proficient in working with a full range of internal communication channels including newsletters, intranets, social enterprise networks, direct mail and print.

You’ll be creative with excellent copyrighting skills and be able to work with stakeholders of all levels, confident of providing advice and direction to senior officers.

The right candidate will join our Media & Engagement Department at Police HQ in Hutton, near Preston, where you’ll be part of a fantastic team. You’ll benefit from an attractive working environment, Local Government Pension Scheme and flexible working hours.
