Lancashire Constabulary’s Media and Engagement Department is seeking a Digital Communications Officer, to be based at Hutton Headquarters. The site is accessible by public transport and there is also free unlimited car parking on site.
Are you passionate about social media and do you have the vision to see how policing can use it to keep people across Lancashire safe and feeling safe? Could you manage 80+ accounts across a range of platforms whilst also keeping an eye on the future and the next big opportunity?
Lancashire Constabulary is looking for a Digital Communications Officer to manage and develop our social media channels and community messaging – from helping to create stand out content to ensuring we have strong governance and controls to mitigate the risks.
You’ll have a recognised qualification in communications or digital marketing and experience of managing multiple social media channels for a large organisation. You’ll also be creative, with great writing skills.
You’ll need to be able to operate across the organisation and be as comfortable briefing senior officers on a critical incident emerging on social as training and motivating staff to use Instagram or Snapchat.

The right candidate will join our Media & Engagement Department at Police HQ in Hutton, near Preston, where you’ll be part of a fantastic team.
