Lancashire Constabulary’s Lancashire Volunteer Partnership Department is seeking a Lancashire Volunteer Partnership - Volunteer Officer to be based at Burnley covering areas within East Lancashire.

The purpose of this role is working within the Lancashire Volunteer Partnership to ensure the effective and efficient tasking of volunteers across public services taking an Early Action approach.

This post is a public facing position so experience in supporting vulnerable people within the community would be an advantage. Some of the tasks for this role include:-

•PR/Marketing to recruit volunteers from a wide section of the community
•Supporting volunteers through a registration process
•Matching volunteers with an appropriate voluntary opportunity – see website for examples of the range of opportunities that LVP support www.lancsvp.org.uk
•Visiting vulnerable people within their own home to ascertain their needs for volunteer support and recruiting a suitable volunteer
•Updating and maintaining an ICT volunteer database on a daily basis

Please note the successful candidate will be required to wear a uniform which will be provided free of charge.
