Applications are invited for the post of Police Investigation Officer within the Major Crime Review Team based at Leyland. 

The purpose of this role is to ethically conduct investigations into cold cases including homicides and other serious and complex crimes.

As a Police Investigation Officer, you will be required to secure, preserve and gather evidence to support law enforcement, plan, prepare and be involved in the execution of operations and interview witnesses and take statements as part of investigations in line with Achieving Best Evidence Guidelines.

Upon successful appointment as per the job specification, you will be required to provide your DNA for elimination purposes, this will be held against the Contamination Elimination Database (CED).
