Lancashire Constabulary would like to offer you the exciting opportunity to become a crucial part of their busy Contact Management Team, based at Police Headquarters, Hutton as a part-time Police Control Room Operator

If you are a dynamic, customer focused individual with excellent communication skills then this role will give you the opportunity to provide an essential service to the public, by taking and dealing with both emergency and non-emergency calls.

Salary

Rota C -  Basic rate = £13,140.00 – £16,955.51  /  Once working full shifts and weekends = £15,017.04 - £19,377.60.

PLEASE NOTE THAT ANNUAL LEAVE WILL NOT BE PERMITTED DURING THE TRAINING PERIOD. (For the July start date the training will be 15th July 2024 – 6th September 2024, please note this is subject to change dependent on the number of candidates for training).

Police Control Room Operators may be required to work weekends, Bank Holidays including Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year’s Day.

Please note during the 8 weeks of training you will work Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm, 37 hpw. If you have any questions please email PCRORecruitment@lancashire.police.uk. You will receive full time basic rate pay for the training period.

If Successful at shortlisting you will be invited to our selection day on the either 22nd March or 24th March, please ensure you are available for this date, if you are unable to attend the selection day your application will be withdrawn. The selection day will take place at our Hutton HQ site and will run from 9am – 15:00 in 1.5hr intervals, where you will undertake a typing exercise and role play exercises. Further details will be available for those candidates invited to attend following shortlisting.
