Essential requirement that the post holder is RICS qualified surveyor

Applications are invited for the post of Asset and Strategy Surveyor, within the Estates and Facilities Management Asset Team, based at Hutton Headquarters. 

The purpose of this role is to do the general practice surveying and asset management by promoting and continuously developing an efficient and cost-effective estate. You will also need to ensure that service delivery is fit for operational purposes, aligned to customer needs and in line with the vision, strategy, and values of the Constabulary.

The successful candidate will provide the Constabulary with advice relating to Law of the Property Act including dispute resolution. You will advise and keep up to date with the knowledge of current legislation that affect the estate i.e., planning law, Landlord & Tenant Act & Courts Act. Alongside this you will be dealing with Landlord and Tenant matters including lease interpretation, advice on granting and taking of leases, rent reviews, dilapidations, action lease obligations, managing lease arrangements to optimise returns and minimise liabilities. 

Other responsibilities will include certified asset valuations and insurance valuations of the police estate, to ensure the upkeep of the PCCs Capital Asset Register, in accordance with CIPFA regulations.
