For the purposes of this recruitment we are seeking a part of fully qualified individual to Level 5 or Level 6 Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply. Candidates must also have a Commitment to working towards or fully qualified to Level 6 Graduate Professional Diploma in Procurement & Supply (or equivalent) – this will require attending college one day a week , completing exams , on the job training and a commitment to study in own time and will take approx. 2 years to complete.

Lancashire Constabulary’s Finance Department is seeking a Procurement Officer to be based at Hutton Headquarters  The site is accessible by public transport and there is also free car parking on site.

We are seeking an experienced Procurement Professional (part or fully qualified to CIPS level 5 or 6 ) to become part of a Strategic Procurement Team with significant procurement experience , preferably within a public sector environment . Experience should include leading complex and high value procurement projects , experience in the use of e tendering systems , a working knowledge of a category based approach and the ability to interpret and apply Public Contract Regulations 2015. We provide a high quality procurement function to the Constabulary, supporting the Procurement and Contracts Manager.  The team provides internal and external stakeholder support for procurement projects.  We also lead, negotiate, construct and manage diverse and complex procurement contracts of significant value in line with customer requirements and prescribed timescales.  The candidate will demonstrate a strong personal commitment to delivering and achieving value for money, whilst providing a high quality service. 

Please note that candidates with relevant experience are eligible to commence in this role on a higher pay grade. Please find the progression arrangements at the bottom of the job specification.

For this role, you will also be required to upload a CV alongside a cover letter. Please could you provide your qualification details in relation to the Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply. Please could you also provide an overview of your procurement experience within a public sector environment.
