Lancashire Constabulary’s Legal Services Solicitor Team is seeking a Solicitor - Operational Policing to be based at Hutton Headquarters.

The purpose of the Team is to provide a comprehensive legal service to the Constabulary and the Police and Crime Commissioner.

Duties include:-

• Working alongside Police officers and Staff to seek opportunities for, and advise upon, the full range of Civil Preventative Orders, available to Police Forces, to protect the vulnerable and safeguard communities, including Sexual Risk Orders, Anti-Social Behaviour Injunctions, and Stalking Protection Orders, amongst others.

• Providing advice and support where a Civil Preventative Order (eg Domestic Violence Protection Order) has been breached, including Court attendance when required

• Providing legal advice to Police Officers regarding Operational tactics and options, when requested

• Developing close working relationships with Police Officers/Staff, and Partner Agencies, to identify individuals whose behaviour is giving cause for concern

• Representing the Chief Constable at Court hearings
