Lancashire Constabulary would like to offer you the exciting opportunity to become a crucial part of their busy Contact Management Team, based at Police Headquarters, Hutton as a Police Control Room Operator
If you are a dynamic, customer focused individual with excellent communication skills then this role will give you the opportunity to provide an essential service to the public, by taking and dealing with both emergency and non-emergency calls.
We are pleased to advise our next two courses will commence on the 24th April 2023 and 29th August 2023. Should these start dates not be suitable please sign up to our job alerts for notification of our later start dates in 2023/2024.

Salary
Rota A - £21,029.21 - £27,690 (Basic Rate) / £28,289,88 - £37,249.73 (with allowances once working full shifts and weekends)
Rota B - £18,119.22 - £23,858.30 (Basic Rate) / £24,300.85 - £31,997.92 (with allowances once working full shifts and weekends)
Rota C - £11,935.50 – 15,715.95 (Basic Rate) / £13,640.48 - £17,960.97 (with allowances once working full shifts and weekends)
Rota D - £7,036.26 – 9,264.92 (Basic Rate) / £11,855.37 - £15,610.45 (with allowances once working full shifts and weekends)
Rota E - £13,640.57 – 17,961.08 (Basic Rate) / £15,913.87 - £20,953.92 (with allowances once working full shifts and weekends)
PLEASE NOTE THAT ANNUAL LEAVE WILL NOT BE PERMITTED DURING THE TRAINING PERIOD. (For the April start date this will be 24th April 2023 – 12th June 2023, please note this is subject to change dependent on the number of candidates for training. For the August start date this will be 29th August 2023 – 9th October 2023).
Police Control Room Operators may be required to work weekends, Bank Holidays including Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year’s Day (depended on chosen rota).
Due to the demand of the role, but also taking into account our staffs wellbeing, we now have various rota options available, all attached - please indicate within the application your preference, note during training you will work Monday to Friday, 9am to 5 pm 37 hpw. If Successful at shortlisting you will be invited to one of our selection days, these will be taking place on 14th, 16th, 17th & 19th January 2023, please ensure you are available for one of those dates. The selection days will take place at our Hutton HQ site and will run from 9am – 16:00 in 3hr intervals, where you will undertake group exercises, typing exercise and role play exercises. Further details will be available for those candidates invited to attend following shortlisting.
