Lancashire Constabulary’s Criminal Justice Division is seeking a ERP Officer to be based at Blackpool.

The ERP Officer role is a varied and interesting role.  You might be booking in newly seized evidence into the ERP office, dealing with officers requests to retrieve evidence from the store, speaking with members of the public about their property, disposing of items of property via one of the various disposal methods we use, or driving the ERP vehicle around the BCU area.

You will need to have a good level of physical fitness and be able to undertake manual handling as it often involves lifting, carrying and moving large amounts of awkward, heavy and bulky items as well as retrieving and placing items on shelving around the stores. The role involves a mix of physical and desk-based work as you will also be required to use the ERP computerised system to access, update and amend property records and produce correspondence which will be sent both internally and externally.

The role requires someone who can pay attention to detail and who has a methodical and accurate approach.

Candidates applying for Lancashire Constabulary should be aware that the use of online 'Artificial Intelligence' (AI) systems such as ChatGPT to generate application answers is NOT permitted, any candidate found to have submitted an application form using online 'AI' software to generate answers will be removed from the recruitment process with immediate effect. This may result in future applications with the Constabulary also being rejected, based on integrity.

Further details of the requirements and duties of the post can be found on the attached Role Profile.

Please note, as a condition of your appointment you must undergo and pass RV Vetting.

Please note, candidates successful at shortlisting will be required to undertake an assessment as part of the interview process. This will consist of the Criminal Justice psychometric assessment.

Before you complete the online application, we would advise you to read the attached Information and Guidance documents.
