Applications are invited for the post of Force Resourcing Assistant within HQ Operations, Force Resource Unit based at Lancastria Building, HQ.

A Force Resource assistant would be working in a diverse and demanding role. The nature of the demand can change daily and would be dependent on operations, events and/ or a change in resources due to several factors. The Force Resource Unit is split up into different roles dealing with Response and local Neighbourhood Policing, Training, Operations and Events, the Force Control Room, Investigation and HQ departments. Some knowledge of work force management and duty planning would be beneficial. There is a requirement to work on complex systems, in conjunction with managing and updating several spread sheets, therefore attention to detail is crucial. Daily tasks include management of resources on our Duty Management System (DMS), maintaining minimum operating levels in line with local policy. The team are always on hand to provide guidance and assistance to staff and officers of differing ranks.  Administrative tasks can vary from granting and denying leave, telephone calls, email enquiries, inputting court warnings, shift changes and so on. There is also the requirement to build and input rotas onto DMS and the transfer of individuals onto new rotas or movement of teams. It is also necessary to make sure all entitlements are correct and after every public holiday there is some manual work to input adjustments to public holiday pots.

Further details of the requirements and duties of the post can be found on the attached Role Profile.
