We are seeking new panel members to join the Restorative Justice (RJ) Team covering Blackpool, Fylde and Wyre.

Restorative Justice brings those harmed by crime or conflict, together with those individuals responsible for the harm into a safe environment to allow constructive communication, enabling everyone affected by a particular incident to play a part in repairing the harm and finding a positive way forward.

Volunteers from all walks of life are needed to support Lancashire Constabularies Restorative Justice Team in dealing with anti-social behaviour issues and low-level disputes by using RJ principles. Volunteers are very valuable to our communities and make a great deal of difference.

This role can be challenging, however, it is a rewarding opportunity which will directly make a positive difference to the communities involved.

Please note, for this role you must have access to a vehicle or public transport (expenses can be claimed). Your main area of volunteering will predominately be Blackpool, Fylde and Wyre, but with the ability to assist in other areas of Lancashire.

The hours are flexible around your availability; however, we do ask for 12 months volunteering commitment for this opportunity, you will need to attend an initial 3- day RJ training course and go on to receive further training in the delivery of mediation.
