Lancashire Constabulary is looking to recruit into the Head of ICT and Digital change Role. We are looking for someone who is dynamic, enthusiastic and has significant experience in leading the delivery of critical systems within a large workforce. The successful candidate will manage a significant financial budget, along with heading up the 140 strong IT functions through 5 direct reports, who support 6,000 users, 400 systems with a mix of legacy systems and new technology:-

Communications & Networks Manager,
Strategic Business & Development Manager,
Technical Support Manager,
Business Systems Manager (CONNECT),
Digital Business Change Team Manager.

You will be a member of the Force's Senior Management Team, at the heart of enabling the Force to better serve the local community through technology. We are currently undergoing a digital transformation. The successful candidate will need to be passionate about delivering transformation and supporting the people of Lancashire.

What we are looking for from you:

• A Leader of large teams and able to provide strategic direction to the IT Portfolio while also making sure service delivery is maintained to the highest level, ensuring user experience is of the highest quality.

• Strong stakeholder management skills, representing technology at a senior level in the organisation as well as anticipating future needs of the business.

• A broad technical knowledge so that you are in tune with where technology advancement is going and able to present innovative ideas.

• Third party supplier management experience.

• Driven to provide inspirational, ethical and values based leadership. Forever promoting cultural reform, values and high standards of professional conduct while having self-awareness and a commitment to personal development and high resilience.

• Experience of Cloud computing - a mix of public and private cloud.

• Ability to represent the force nationally.

• In-depth understanding of ITIL frameworks:
