- S252-17 Welfare Advisor (LC 8)

Applications are invited for two full time permanent Welfare Advisors currently based at Lancashire Constabulary Headquarters, Hutton, Preston although there is a possibility of a move of premises within Lancashire.

This is a new and exciting post and will be part of the Occupational Health Department at Lancashire Constabulary, applicants must either be an Accredited Counsellor (BACP) or be working towards this qualification within 12 months, and passionate be about high quality service. The post holder will work specifically with individuals who work with high levels of risk, challenging roles and traumatic incidents.

Applicants need to be aware when considering applying for these posts that whilst at present the team currently work 9 – 5, options are currently being looked at for a requirement for weekend cover to be incorporated into a rota along with on call cover to work across the County.

All successful applicants will be subject to Vetting clearance. Applicants should note that there is a minimum UK residency criterion of three years for recruitment vetting purposes in line with national recommendations.
