Lancashire Constabulary are launching their first Youth Advisory Group, and we are seeking Volunteers over the age of 18 to help run the group which will take place on the last Wednesday of each month at Lancashire Constabulary Headquarters.

 

The group will be an open and safe environment for young people to provide honest and constructive feedback about policing policies and matters to senior officers within the police.

Primarily, we want to understand the issues the young people of Lancashire are facing. We will work together develop and improve our polices and the policing service we offer to the public.

 

Each meeting, a new subject matter will be discussed where you will work with the YIAG volunteers to help them to provide their thoughts, experiences and advice to improve the policy.

You will be supported in your role by Police staff and officers throughout.

 

Training will be provided where necessary and may be in the form of peer support, distance learning or trainer led. Volunteers must have completed the required training before the activity can be undertaken and may be asked to regularly refresh training where required.
